- A total of thirty eight numbers training conducted exclusively under Technology Incubation Centre for 956 trainees for cultivation of mushrooms.
- A total of eight numbers extension orientation programme, seven numbers awareness programme and one training programme was conducted in different schools, colleges and villages.
- An interactive session was held on the theme “Recent Trends in Food Science Research” by invited speaker Prof. Sankar Chandra Deka of Tezpur University.
- Invited Talk on “Tuberculosis Vaccine” by Dr. Pawan Sharma, DBT Visiting Professor.
- A five days training programme was conducted under BIF for M.Sc. students on the theme “Bioinformatics as a tool in Biomedical Research”.

AIM & OBJECTIVE / MISSION / VISION:
The Department of Botany has a mission and vision to become one of the prominent plant-based bio-resource centre of the valuable plant diversity of region which also covers many Indo-Bhutan regions of the Indian sub-continent through joint effort of the Department and the Society. The department has already taken some nascent steps in construction of Botanical garden, Orchidarium, Herbarium cum museum and Green house for various medicinal and economically important plants to achieve this mission and vision.

FACILITIES
- General Laboratories: The Department has well-equipped general laboratory & Optics Laboratory (Dark Room) facility designed for the postgraduate course.
- Specialization Laboratory: The Department also possesses specialized laboratory such as Condensed Matter Physics and Nuclear Physics Laboratory both for the M.Sc. students and Research Scholars.
- Atmospheric Physics Research Facility: The Department of Physics, BU, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG), an autonomous body under DST, Govt. of India, has installed instrumental facility exclusively dedicated to the earthquake related study from the signatures in the atmosphere-ionosphere system. The instrumental facility comprises of PolaRxS (multi-frequency multi-constellation receiver), AEFM (Atmospheric Electric Field Monitor), MetPak (multi-sensor instrument for measuring Temperature, Humidity, Barometric pressure, wind speed & direction), and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System).
- Uninterrupted Power Supply: The entire Department is connected to 5KVA UPS and a backup generator facility.
- Internet connectivity: The Department is connected to high speed internet provided by NKN, Govt. of India. The whole department is connected with LAN and Wi-Fi.
BODOLAND UNIVERSITY PHYSICAL SOCIETY
The society is established in the year 2018. The society is responsible for holding various academic activities of the department like foundation day celebration, National Science Day celebration, Weekly Friday Seminar and many more.
